Monte Follonica, also known locally as Barbanera, is where our bottle-refermented wine “Barbarosa” originates. It’s a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes harvested in crates, vinified as white wine and refermented using the oldest method.

Vinification and maturation | White vinification. Gentle pressing of the grapes, yeast inoculation, and fermentation in a single steel tank. Bottle refermentation with the addition of must from our Trebbiano grapes and yeast. |
