Monte Follonica, also known locally as Barbanera, is where our bottle-refermented wine “Barbarosa” originates. It’s a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes harvested in crates, vinified as white wine and refermented using the oldest method.

Vinification and maturation

White vinification. Gentle pressing of the grapes, yeast inoculation, and fermentation in a single steel tank. Bottle refermentation with the addition of must from our Trebbiano grapes and yeast.
